Dilution method:
1 Remove drugs from the refrigerator when you decide the treatment.
2 After taking it out , put at room temperature for a certain time, usually 10-15min, in order to be similar as the room temperature,then easy to dilute.
3. Generally diluted 100iu.with 2-4ML normal saline solution .
4. when dilution, you should stick the bottle wall safety with the syringe needle, then push the Normal saline into bottle slowly to avoid air bubbles, make all the powder drugs dissolved, Don't use excessive force. Otherwise ,it will affect the drug action.
5. In the melting process, avoid repeated suction to reduce vibration and prevent bubble formation, bubble will make protein denaturation ,which can affect drug action.
6, configured solution should be used immediately or placed in refrigerator 2-8 ºC, 4h in good condition, no more than 6h, if keep too long ,will reduced efficacy. After 12h it will be 44% inactivation ,1-2week, 70% inactivation .
7 BTXA injection should be sufficient quantity one time , injection intervals must be more than 3 months. BTXA is protein, if low-dose, short interval will be easy to form antibody which make a small effect, even invalid.
Injection Tips:
In order to reduce the complication of blepharoptosis:
(1)Avoid injection near the levator ,palpebrae superioris, particularly in patients with larger brow-depressor complexes
(2)Medial corrugators injections should be placed at least 1 cm above the bony supraorbital ridge
(3) usage dose
It is about 25 iu best for Cosmetic injection ,not more than 60iu.
(4) It is the best 0.1ML (2.5-5 iu ) for each injected point. 4-8 points is preferred.

1.How does BTXA work?
Normally, your brain sends electrochemical messages to your muscles to make them contract and move. These messages are transmitted from a nerve to the muscle by a substance called acetylcholine. When too much acetylcholine is released, muscles become overly active and spasm or tense up. BTXA blocks the nerve from releasing acetylcholine. As a result, the muscle spasms stop or are greatly reduced, providing relief from symptoms.(In a word, the function of BTXA is to stop the signals of moving this muscle from your brain, to keep smooth on the skin surface, so it helps decrease some fine lines.)
Your health care provider will know how much BTXA is needed to treat you effectively.
It's important to remember that boltulinum toxin treatment is not a cure. For many people, however, its effects have been dramatic. With BTXA, the nerve will take about 3 months to recover and begin to release acetylcholine, and the muscles may become overactive again. At that point, another injection will be needed to provide relief, as long as no allergic reactions or other significant side effects occurred and clinical response was obtained.
2.How Long can I be treated with BTXA ?
(Each treatment typically lasts up to 3 months and can be repeated as long as your condition responds to BTXA and you do not have any serious allergic reactions or other significant side effects. BTXA has been used for more than 11 years to treat more than 1 million patients worldwide, and although formal, long-term clinical evaluations have not been conducted, its safety in long-term use has been well established.
Although most people continue to respond to BTXA injections, some people have experienced a diminished response over time. There may be several explanations for this:
• Changes in your condition - If the pattern of your muscle activity changes, your health care provider may need to inject new muscles and/or change your dose. Identifying and injecting the affected muscle can be difficult, complicated by the changing pattern of muscle involvement and progression of the disorder.
• Setting appropriate expectations - You may believe your first BTXA injection was more helpful than subsequent injections. That's because your condition was perhaps quite severe when you had your first injection. Subsequent injections are usually given before your condition becomes that severe again. Therefore, the relief you experienced with subsequent injections may not have been as dramatic as the first time.
• Antibody formation - When foreign proteins, like betulinum toxins, enter your body, antibodies may form. If antibodies to betulinum toxin develop, you may no longer respond to treatment.
Because boltulinum toxins are usually used to treat chronic conditions, it's important to preserve responsiveness to therapy.
3.How can I help maintain my response to BTXA ?
While the critical factors for neutralizing antibody formation have not been well characterized, you may be able to help maintain your response to BTXA by minimizing your total exposure. The potential for antibody formation may be minimized by injecting with the lowest effective dose given at the longest feasible intervals between injections
4.How is BTXA given?
BTXA is injected into the affected muscle(s). Your doctor will determine which muscles need to be treated.
5.Does the injection hurt?
Some people report minor, temporary discomfort from the injection. BTXA is reconstituted with sterile, preservative-free normal saline for injection. The neutral pH of the injected solution, in combination with the fine-gauge needle your doctor will use, can help to minimize any injection-related pain.
6.When will BTXA start to work?
If you're receiving BTXA for cervical dystonia, you'll usually see the effects within 2 weeks of the injection. If you're receiving BTXA for blepharospasm, you'll usually see effects within 3 days.

7.How Long will the effect last?
BTXA offers sustained relief, dose after dose. The relief you'll feel from one treatment of BTXA will normally last for up to 6-12 months.
